All new things have an adoption curve. I would argue EVs are already way ahead on that curve. We are way past the first adopters and tech-nerds and into soccer moms and "ordinary folk". I'll warrant the EV is being adopted faster than most other items over the last 100 years, especially items like refrigerators or vacuum cleaners. So I respectfully think that you article is already 5-6 years too late.
