Don't worry. We'll make it. Humanity always makes it even when we are reduced to a ew ten thousands of folk at an Ice Age. There are still 50+ years of oil still in the ground and minable. Peak Oil has been a thing every decade since the 70s and we keep finding more. We don't need diesel - we already have electric cars and trucks. All we need is scale. We are closer than you think.

What we really need is to replace capitalism. The concept of ever-increasing growth is what is failing us. That and the concept of materialism. Once those no longer become possible (this is REALLY what we are describing when we talk of collapse) we will begin to make progress.

Too many people mistake the failure of materialism with societal collapse. We'll adapt. I promise you.
