I don't see the big deal. Most free thinkers left Twitter a long time ago. It's not even a major social network. Twitter-folk are famous for being childish blowhards that get their pants in a wad. Let Musk have it. He's not going to destroy the world with it. Increasingly, fewer people care about Twitter.

As for his other projects, like him or hate him, as a person or an engineer, and I don't like him as either, he IS contributing solid tech to the world, or at least his companies are. Well... some of them. The Boring Company lacks a purpose, but SpaceX and Tesla are revolutionary, which is why they both lead their respective fields. (For now?)
