I think your mistake is to treat it like technology. A better comparison is to compare it to a child. openAI's growth is akin to a child entering university and graduating at age 3. Tech tends to grow at Moore's Law speeds. AI will likely grow 1000x faster.

ChatGPT already has a law degree and an MBA from prestigious schools. By the end of 2023 It will likely have Phd's in multiple disciplines... at age 4.

But, like everything else, we will learn to live with it.
