Just to correct some mistaken facts:
1. You can charge EVs on as little as 15A, not 75A. The vast majority of home charging is on 30-50A, entirely adequate to charge every night during low-cost power generation.
2. 8-yr old Teslas are on their original battery with likely <5% degradation. Prius batteries are doing even better. It is not unlikely those batteries will last 20 yrs, so a 12-yr old vehicle will not be on its 2nd or 3rd battery. The new batteries are billed as million-mile.
3. In direct comparisons, an EV actually uses less energy idling but running electronics than most ICE vehicles on the market. Admitedly new ICE vehicle systems are more power efficient but that's not what's on the road.
4. The environmental effect of producing batteries has long been debunked as worse than an ICE vehicle when coupled with the emissions savings over the length of the vehicle. And new sodium-based batteries are very environmentally friendly.
